2015 has been an exciting year with some amazing advances and discoveries around the inner workings of our minds.
For example, did you know scientists have found that increasing the positive bacteria in your gut can help to reduce anxiety and lessen the symptoms of depression?
One study showed that people who have more fermented foods in their diet - which are filled with healthy bacteria known as probiotics - exhibit less neuroticism and social anxiety. I think that is incredible!
Food for thought anyway (pun intended). So what does this mean for you?
For me it has been another crazy-hot Christmas this year, which always brings to mind memories of watermelons (and slip n slides). Today I've got some of this delicious red fruit diced up in the fridge, all crispy and juicy and ready to go. I will add some natural Greek yoghurt over the top to kick start my healthy gut-mind connection.
Try googling 'food probiotics' to get some ideas of your own rolling, or jump on board the summer watermelon and yogurt bandwagon!
